Safety studies:
Since the seed of Achyranthes Aspera is used by tribal people since centuries without any known adverse effects, we can at least safely assume that it is safe to consume.

To ensure same whole seed safe usage in AimSlim™ we did two acute toxicity studies .

First Acute Toxicity Study :
Acute toxicity studies were carried out in overnight fasted, healthy male rats weighing between 200-260g fed on normal lab animal diet and water ad libitum. In a group consisted of three such animals, acute toxicity studies were carried out for AimSlim™ (lot # ALE/5016).

Results :

• No mortality was observed in any animal during 24 hours of observation and one week after the test.
• No histopathological examination was carried, since no mortality was observed in any of the test animals.

Second Acute Toxicity Study:

Procedure:
Extract was administered 175, 550 and 2000 mg/kg for oral toxicity study in mice. Mice were then observed for incidence of mortality or any sign of toxicity up to 24 hours after oral administration.

The test was stopped when one of the stopping criteria was met. Survived animals were observed for outcomes for a period of 24 h. (AOT425 Guidelines)

Acute Toxicity Results:
Oral administration of the extract did not produce any toxic effect in mice. The extract was found to be safe and no mortality was observed up to 2000 mg/kg. The data was analyzed with help of AOT425 Software.

We conclude that the AimSlim™ is safe up to 2000mg/kg body weight.
